The kids think all their Christmases have come at once when this is served for breakfast and I have got to admit I go to bed excited to wake up for breakfast when I know this is on the menu.
The fact that this is good for you chocolate is almost too good to be true. Chocolate gets a bad reputation because often the chocolate that we see in the confectionary isle is full of added nasties, sugar and fat however cocoa powder that comes directly from the cocoa bean is actually very nutritious and is full of antioxidants. And don’t forget all the other amazing ingredients in this recipe, protein packed Peanut butter and Iron rich spinach this is a great way to start the day.
This could also be made into a smoothie bowl if you really want to make yourself feel that your eating desert, sprinkle some cocoa nibs and coconut chips on top.
This is a very filling smoothie so although it’s tempting to slurp it down take it slow and savour.
